Located in Nanango in the beautiful South Burnett, Nanango Race Club holds multiple race meetings each year. The club offers a great family day out that won't break the bank. There is something for everyone at the Nanango Races! Jackson's Fitzroy Hotel Nanango Cup
Get ready for a huge day of country racing and trackside entertainment at the Jackson’s Fitzroy Hotel Nanango Cup Day, proudly presented by Sportsbet Nanango on Saturday 8 August 2026.
Enjoy the thrill of live racing, the colour of Fashions on the Field, family-friendly fun and a relaxed country atmosphere that makes Nanango racing so special. Whether you are a serious punter, a once-a-year racegoer, a family looking for an affordable day out, or a group of friends ready to dress up and celebrate, Nanango Cup Day is the perfect excuse to gather your crew and enjoy a memorable Saturday at the races.
The program features five exciting races, headlined by the Jackson’s Fitzroy Hotel Nanango Cup. Off the track, there is just as much to enjoy. Come dressed to impress for Fashions on the Field, try your luck with the on-course bookmakers and TAB, and enjoy great country hospitality from the bar, BBQ and Elgin Vale CWA Canteen. There will also be raffles, money boards, the $100 Member’s Cash Draw, plus the always-popular Sportsbet Novelty Relay. Pick up an official program, find a spot by the rail, and cheer on your favourite horses and jockeys as they thunder to the finish line.
Families are warmly welcome, with free kids face painting and under-18s admitted free. After the last race, stay on and enjoy live music from Natalie Fenton.
Free buses available! The Kingaroy bus departs Carrollee Hotel, 4 King Street, at 11.30am sharp, while the Nanango bus departs Howletts Lane, behind the Fitzroy Hotel, at 12.00pm. Bookings are essential for bus travel, so make sure you plan ahead.
It is country racing at its best: close to the action, budget friendly and fun for everyone. Gather your friends, dress for the occasion and we'll see you soon at Sportsbet Nanango!
